S.A. Clayton knows how to write them steamy, short and sweet but packing a serious punch to the heart and her addition to the new, irresistible Club Temptation series had all of that and some y'all. Jade and Gage's second chance romance (looooooved these two!!) in Tempting Fate heated me up, had me squirming in my seat, and left me with a big ol'smile on my face.
I am a huge, huge fan of the With Me in Seattle series so to see this spin off from Tied With Me (loooooved Matt!) was everything! It also makes me crazy excited to dive headfirst into the other books in the new Club Temptation novella series.
I highly recommend this book.

Once again I was sucked in for the very first page. Jade and Gage have so much chemistry it was too great to be ignored. It has taken them a few years since they've seen each other but the love they felt did not disappear but only got stronger no matter how much they both wanted it not to.
The second chance didn't felt rushed even though this was a short story. I wanted them and this to be a full length novel because I fell that this was not nearly enough for me.
With every book S.A. Clayton writes she keeps getting better and better and I'm so excited to see what she has in store for us next.

4 star Review Tempting Fate (Club Temptation) by S A Clayton
Although this is a short book, S.A. Clayton has certainly packed a lot in to it. Tempting Fate is a second chance at love, extremely steamy and hot story about Jade and Gage.
These two have a complicated history. Six years ago Gage chose to leave Jade rather than have her brother, his best friend find out about the feelings he had for Jade. Now he has returned and Jade is not happy to see him.
Gage has always regretted leaving and now he back and determined to win Jade once and for all. The chemistry between these two is intense and despite the years is as strong as ever. Tempting Fate is a passionate, emotional story that had me invested from the first chapter to the last.
Both Gage and Jade were easy to relate to and I loved how they came to terms with the past and forgave and embarked on a new journey of discovery together.

Tempting Fate is a combination of second changes and best friends brothers little sister romances. This was a quick steamy read that you won’t want to put down. The character chemistry is amazing. A total must read!

Jade's dreams finally became reality when Gage noticed her as more than just his best friend's little sister. But Gage got cold feet and picked his friendship with Parker over his relationship with Jade. They run into each other again after six long years in the same place where it all started. Will they make it this time?
It's a quick and very steamy romance that packs quite a punch. Their pain and loss came through clearly on every page. It's all intense emotion from start to finish.

Jade had been in love with her brother's best friend, Gage, for years when they began a secret relationship. However, rather than admit to her brother how he felt about her, he ran. Now a second chance stares them in the face. IF the same problem that broke them the first time does not repeat itself. IF Gage can be the man Jade deserves. IF Jade can find it in her heart to let Gage back in.
I always love a good second chance romance, and S.A. Clayton has written a great one here. Jade and Gage's chemistry, their love was so obvious, and the pain that stood between them so intense. Although I haven't read all, or even many, of the other stories in the Club Temptation series, I have read a lot of the With Me in Seattle Universe and I love how well this one fits in with it.

TEMPTING FATE is the latest instalment in the Club Temptation Collection and it is HAWT!! Having previously read other books from Ms. Clayton, I can see she has definitely stepped away from her usual comfort zone ... and she has successfully knocked it out of the ball park. Gage and Jade were divine.
Gage Masterson is back in town and back working where he met the only woman he could never forget ... his best friend's younger sister. Why is she there? Has she moved on? He hoped not. The moment Jade realises that Gage is there, watching her, she realises that even after six years he still affects her, noting the tingles running rampant throughout her body.
Ms. Clayton's taler is sensual, passionate and heated, yet it is also sweet and emotional, with an underlying love story that will pull at your heartstrings. I loved Gage, he was so masterful, controlling, but also tender and caring towards Jade. Jade was gorgeous, I loved her strength, her emotion and also her need and desire to please Gage in every possible way.
A wonderful short read.

What I enjoyed: Not gunna lie, the concept drew me in. I'm a sucker for the falling-in-love-with-your-best-friend's-sibling trope. And the love interest being a dom in a sex club? I like my smut spicy like that.
What I didn't enjoy: The problem is it didn't deliver on the concept. The execution was fumbled. All that potential wasted on unimaginative writing. The conflict was actually a non-conflict and for that reason I wasn't rooting for the couple to "make it".

Sometimes you just need to read a bit of smut. 🤷🏻♀️
I was lured into reading this by TikTok trailer so I'm not entirely surprised that I found it was just ok. Average. It scratched an itch, so to speak, but doesn't give me any enthusiasm to read more by this author.
The premise hooked me but the execution was fumbled. I found the motivations of the love interest to be so extreme. The man up and left his home, job, family, and friends without saying goodbye and joined the military for six years just to avoid telling his best friend he was in love with his sister. Then he returns, hell bent on making amends with the woman he left, only to recreate the same drama of leaving for no apparent reason??? Unimaginative writing.
Despite all that it wasn't so terrible. I've read far worse. 2.5 stars.

Going back to where it all began is harder than she thought it would be. Seeing the one that left her behind, the love of her life is more than she can bare. For Gage coming back to his home town and working where he started his love affair with his best friends sister is bitter sweet, seeing her is just painful.
True love can conquer all even time and distance and for Jade and Gage going back is not an option but moving forward is. The passion and heat that sparks when they are to gather can no be contained but was once passion has turned into so much more a love that is forever.
A quick read filled with heat.

I loved this quick read!!! Brother’s best friend trope with a second chance thrown in there!! It was perfect! I wanted something light and short between the darker romance series I’ve been reading lately, and this hit the spot! I will be working my way through the rest of S.A. Clayton’s books thanks to this beautifully written story!

I really wish the angst would’ve lasted longer, Jade gave into him way too easily in my opinion and basically let Gage manipulate her when he didn’t get what he wanted. It was a good read but not something I’d read again.

Where I’ve said ‘should have been longer’ of other short stories I’ve read… I didn’t with this one. Is it because it has a closure filled HEA? Um… no.
It was fine for a quick read, unique enough premis and characters, decent spice, but can’t rave about it and probs won’t read again.

After disappearing six years prior, Gage has returned home and the one person he regrets leaving behind is now standing in front of him and he wants his second chance.
Sexy, steamy, erotic and oh so tempting. I devoured this book so quickly. The tension between Gage and Jade was so thick that you almost thought they would not be able to move past their past. This was my first book from this author and will not be my last.

I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!!
Thank you S.A. for letting me read another one of your great books! S.A. Def knows how to write short stories that will have you hooked from the moment you pick it up to the moment you finish it.
OMG Jade and Gage are the perfect pair. Jade has no idea Gage is back, and Gage has no idea that Jade will be back where they met, and where they spent most of their time together as a couple.
Jade is against them getting back together, but will the pull of what they share reconnect them?
Gage can't stop thinking about her, and even after all the years separated, he never stopped thinking about her.

I do love S.A. books/stories so much. I do have to say that it started out a bit slower than normal from her other books I've read. So it took me a couple of chapters to get into it. But after that WOW!!!! Just like the other books I've read, HOLY WOW! Just amazing!!
The story flowed, and had the rollercoaster of emotions, and was amazing!

OMG Jade and Gage are the perfect pair. Jade has no idea Gage is back, and Gage has no idea that Jade will be back where they met, and where they spent most of their time together as a couple.
Jade is against them getting back together, but will the pull of what they share reconnect them?
